*Violence sweeping throughout the Middle East and Africa.
*The murder of an Ambassador in Libya
*Warships sent to the China Sea in a conflict between China and Japan
*The ongoing conflict in Afghanistan
*Ambassador’s family assassinated while on holiday in Switzerland
*Drug Cartels beheading and crucifying people
*Terrorists,Crazed gunmen, domestic violence, hate crimes. the list goes on
These are not just news stories to read over a cup of coffee on the way to the sports scores or the show-times of that new movie coming to the cina-plex, these are real events impacting real men, women and children in the world.
We look at all this news and have to ask ourselves “Why is there so much violence in the world?”
Humanity has great potential but you would never know it by our propensity for violence.
Oftentimes people will say “How could a just God let such things happen?”
It is understandable considering the actions are anything but godly.
But it is not God who is the author of violence and suffering. It is not God but the King of Darkness.
There are two concepts I want to mention, that may help shed some light of our situation:
1. Free Will
2. Grace
First, when we think of having Free Will we may not initially think of higher orders of beings than ourselves having Free Will but this is so. All Sentient beings have Free Will and the higher order of being the more Free Will they have. God Created the Living Spirit as the Perfect reflection of Himself. All the attributes of God were reflected in the Son (The Living Spirit). With this came Free Will. The Gift of Free Will was initially bestowed on the One Created Being. With the many manifestations and creations within the Body of the Living Spirit, the gift of Free Will was passed on to all Sentient beings within the Living Spirit as well. One of the Highest order of Celestial beings: The Yazatas or Aeons, were powerful beings, overseeing immense regions within the Living Spirit. One of these beings, Ahriman, was a divinity that, having received Free Will used it to rebel against the Living Spirit, seeking to appropriate the Divine Light of the Spiritual Universes for itself and in doing this matter was created.
We do not suffer due to the will of God but the will of the Evil One. We do not experience violence due to the will of God but due to the will of the Evil One.
Again, the physical creation was not created by God but by the Evil One who sought to make a False Creation from the light stolen from the Higher Realms. Since only God can truly create then everything in physical creation is tainted with inevitable decay and death.
The Physical universe was a creation of suffering and death initially.
Second, there is the matter of God’s Grace. God could have left all life in creation to suffer and die but out of love for the light trapped Matter, God out of Grace, breathed His energy into creation (the Mother of Life) to bring knowledge, wisdom, beauty, compassion and truth into the physical creation.
It is only due to the Grace of God that the Living Spirit could send the Third Messenger into this physical universe in order to redeem it. This has been underway with every manifestation of the Third Messenger on each world.
The physical universe, its worlds, the bodies we inhabits are all the formed by the Evil One. There is beauty and goodness in Creation only due to the blessings from God but the creation itself was created to be a prison for the light.
The bodies we inhabit were formed by the demons. The presence of the Living Spirit is evident in the Mind and the Highest aspirations of the Spirit. When the individual is focused on what is based and carnal, that which is of the devil is more present in that moment; when the individual is focused on what is spiritual, that which is of the Living Spirit is more present in that moment. It is a war we are constantly but most often, unconsciously waging.
Do you know how you change the world? Change your mind. Think thoughts of Virtue, Peace and Compassion. Speak with Truth, Wisdom and Compassion. Act with intention and loving kindness.
A world filled with persons devoted to conscious and compassionate living can change the world but it starts with each one of us refusing to play the Devil’s game.
Any ideal in this world can be contaminated when we allow matter to take precedence over spirit. Even religion can become the stuff of nightmare if all that is exemplified is hatred, anger and violence.
The world is not in its current state because the people of this world reflect the Will of God, it is in this state because they do not.
Blaming God for the adversities in this world is letting the Devil off the hook. We are in his backyard and we are playing by his rules while we are here.
It is by the grace of God that we are not all experiencing hell in every moment, because that is the physical universe the Evil One created for us to inhabit. It is by the grace of God that we are giving the tools needed to be liberated from this temporary prison world of matter if we will listen and use what we learn.
Violence is in the world because humanity is in the world and as long as we identify with the lowest most base aspect of our nature, then violence will remain in the world until there is no more world to inhabit.
This does not have to be our fate, however. We have the option for a much different type of life. One that is beyond violence and suffering…the key is: It is not here. We left it at Home. What Home? Our real Home in Bahisht (The Kingdom of Light)…that is where we are really from. We are the One Soul trapped in Matter and our Peace and Joy await us in our True Home, but we have to get there to experience that Peace and Joy. We can’t just sit around here and wish for bliss and then be perpetually disappointed because it is not evident in this world.
Yes, we can make this world a better place by striving to live with a Good Mind and exhibit True Harmlessness in this world, but this is would still only be a prelude to the real Peace in Bahisht.
There is so much violence in the world today because so many people believe that the use of force is the only way anything is ever accomplished.
If every person who raise a fist, a knife or a gun against another, were confronted by a mirror image of themselves, would they feel those hostilities were justified? Would they like to receive what they so eagerly wished to give?
Be conscious of your own mind. Remove the weeds of hatred, pettiness & negativity.
Be conscious of your words. Remove the weeds of abuse, lies, & condemnation.
Be conscious of your actions. Remove the weeds of violence &cruelty.
If you don’t want to live in such a violent world you have two options:
1. Work to make a more peaceful world through conscious living and true harmlessness.
2. You move beyond a dying world and prepare your soul for entering are Realm beyond Violence and Suffering.
Hint: You can do both, since the the steps are the same.
